Nepali New Year
Nepali New Year or Baisakhi is a time of celebration across most of Asia Pacific and South Asia too. The community hosts a feast within the region where both youth and adults perform traditional songs and dances as well.

Teej is a combined name for 3 Hindu festivals primarily dedicated to Hindu deities – Parvati and Shiva, mainly celebrated by married women & unmarried girls. Nepali Women in Waterloo region come together, dance, sing and feast on traditional delicacies and sweets.
Dashain
Dashain is the time of the year everybody yearns to be back home with their parents, siblings and children. NCCWR celebrates Dashain on the first Saturday before the Vijaya Dashami.
Deusi Bhailo
Especially dedicated to merry making of children and youth in the community, select families volunteer and invite members of the community to come to their house, sing, dance, feast and then bless the host family for a prosperous year ahead.
