Nepalese Canadian Community of Waterloo Region (NCCWR) is the coming together of individuals, families and businesses that identify with the Nepali culture, values and traditions.
The community has a long history of resident families and individuals coming together to keep the culture and tradition alive through celebration of Nepali festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Nepali New Year, etc. for over a decade. As the community grew and was interested in getting formally organized, due registration was initiated in 2022. NCCWR is registered as a not-for-profit organization under the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services on April 11, 2022.
